Preferred Knowledge/Skills

- Demonstrates knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Networking fundamentals and Network Principles (including the OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP), basic Windows and Linux System Administration, and Security Architecture concepts

- Applying Incident Response Frameworks and Handling Procedures

- Alert triage and investigation across SIEM and EDR platforms

- Threat Hunting/Threat Intelligence fundamentals (IOC-based searches, with exposure to hypothesis-driven hunting)

- Writing and modifying SIEM queries (KQL, SPL) and working with SOAR playbooks

- Basic Malware Analysis and triage (static analysis and sandbox detonation)

- Understanding of the cyber-attack lifecycle and common tactics, techniques, and procedures of threat actors

- Awareness of information security, compliance, assurance, and/or other security best practices and principles
- An inquisitive, analytical mindset and eagerness to learn from senior team members
