Key Responsibilities

- Conduct mechanical and physical testing of steel materials.
- Perform tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and bend/rebend tests.
- Carry out hardness and other applicable material tests.
- Check samples received from clients and maintain proper sample identification.
- Operate and maintain Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and other laboratory equipment.
- Ensure testing is performed according to applicable IS/ASTM/BS standards.
- Record test observations, results and calculations accurately.
- Prepare and verify steel/material test report

Required Skills

- Knowledge of steel and material testing
- Knowledge of IS codes and testing standards
- Experience with UTM and laboratory testing equipment
- Basic knowledge of NABL / ISO 17025
- Good documentation and report-preparation skills





Experience 1–3 years of experience in steel testing, material testing, civil/material laboratory or quality control laboratory preferred.

Freshers with relevant Civil/Metallurgy/Materials Engineering qualifications may also be considered, depending on the company's requirements.
