Sr. Engineer / AM / Deputy Manager Procurement (3 openings depending on exp)

Candidate Profile

We are looking for professionals with hands-on experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, cost reduction and project procurement, preferably from pharmaceutical, biotech, process equipment, sterile manufacturing, engineering or manufacturing industries.

Candidates with experience in CAPEX procurement / machine procurement, particularly for sterile, pharma or biotech manufacturing facilities, will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end P2P activities for valves, pumps, magnetic mixers, agitators, heat exchangers, fabricated parts, process instruments, sensors, control panels and PLC/software-related requirements.
- Handle CAPEX procurement and machine/equipment purchases for pharmaceutical, biotech and sterile manufacturing projects.
- Procure process equipment, production machines, utility equipment and sterile manufacturing-related equipment in line with project specifications and timelines.
- Drive strategic sourcing, supplier development, vendor evaluation and supplier rationalization.
- Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) and OTIF requirements as per IFAT/CFAT schedules.
- Drive cost reduction, commercial negotiations and cost control across assigned commodities and projects.
- Manage demand planning and forecasting, particularly for long-lead items, in coordination with PPC and Project teams.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks related to supply disruption, quality, cost and project delays.
- Work closely with Engineering,



Operations, Finance, PPC and Project Management teams as part of cross-functional teams.
- Drive I-FAT open-point closure and readiness for customer FAT/CFAT.
- Prepare and present weekly procurement MIS and project procurement reports.
- Handle supplier disputes and stakeholder issues effectively.
- Conduct supplier reviews, supplier visits, capability assessments and performance mapping.
- Coordinate supplier quality improvement and relevant GMP/quality requirements.
- Participate in Current Product Development (NPD), make-or-buy decisions and value engineering.
- Develop ready-to-use assemblies and alternate sourcing solutions to support in-house production.
- Drive supplier initiatives to control COPQ and improve quality, delivery and cost performance.
- Draft, review and manage RC/VMI/MOU and supplier contracts.
- Develop procurement SOPs, sourcing strategies and procurement milestones to ensure process compliance.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.

CAPEX / Machine Procurement Preferred Experience Candidates should ideally have exposure to procurement of CAPEX equipment / machinery for pharma, biotech or sterile manufacturing environments, such as:

- Sterile manufacturing equipment
- Process and filling equipment




- Pharmaceutical production machinery
- Packaging and filling machines
- Process skids and equipment
- Sterile utilities and associated equipment
- Equipment for cleanroom / GMP manufacturing environments
- Customized / special-purpose machines
- Fabricated process equipment
- Equipment involving FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning

Experience in managing the complete procurement cycle from technical specification RFQ techno-commercial evaluation supplier negotiation PO manufacturing follow-up FAT delivery installation/commissioning support will be an advantage. Required Skills & Technical Expertise

- Strong experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within engineering/manufacturing environments.
- Experience in CAPEX / machine procurement, preferably for pharma, biotech or sterile manufacturing projects.
- Sound technical understanding of process equipment, machinery and engineering components.
- Experience in costing, commercial negotiations and cost reduction.
- Strong supplier development and vendor relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of bio-process, sterile manufacturing and GMP-related requirements will be preferred.
- Functional knowledge of commodities such as valves, pumps, fabricated parts, process instruments, sensors, control panels, agitators, heat exchangers and process equipment.
- Knowledge of FAT/SAT, supplier quality documentation and inspection processes.
- Working knowledge of GST, taxation and logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
