Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Sponsorship Manager to lead sponsorship sales and brand partnerships for our concerts, large-scale events, and event IPs.
The role will be responsible for identifying potential brands and agencies, developing customised sponsorship opportunities, pitching and negotiating with decision-makers, and ultimately closing high-value sponsorship partnerships.
The ideal candidate should have a strong network across brands, marketing teams, media agencies and advertising agencies, along with a proven ability to convert relationships into revenue. The candidate should understand how brands evaluate sponsorship opportunities and be able to create compelling brand integrations and experiential solutions beyond conventional logo-placement sponsorships.
This is a target-driven, client-facing, and revenue-oriented role requiring strong business development, networking, pitching, and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sponsorship Sales & Revenue Generation · Drive sponsorship sales for the company's concerts, large-format events and event IPs.
· Identify, approach, and convert potential sponsors across relevant brand categories and industries.
· Own the sponsorship sales pipeline from prospecting and initial outreach through pitching, negotiation, and closure.
· Achieve assigned sponsorship revenue targets across multiple events and properties.
· Develop new business opportunities while maximizing existing brand relationships.
· Identify potential sponsors based on the event audience, positioning, scale, and brand relevance.
2. Brand & Agency Outreach · Build and maintain strong relationships with brand marketing teams, CMOs/marketing heads, media agencies, creative agencies, and decision-makers.
· Leverage existing industry relationships to generate qualified sponsorship opportunities.
· Proactively identify new brands, categories, and companies that can potentially partner with our events.
· Develop a strong and continuously expanding database/network of potential sponsors.
· Conduct regular meetings, presentations and commercial discussions with prospective partners.
3. Customized Sponsorship & Brand Integration · Understand the marketing objectives, target audience and communication requirements of each brand.
· Develop customized sponsorship propositions rather than offering only standard sponsorship packages.
· Create and sell brand integrations, on-ground experiences, digital integrations, content opportunities, audience engagement formats and event-led activations.
· Think creatively about how brands can become part of the overall event experience.
· Work with internal creative and marketing teams to develop relevant sponsorship concepts and pitch solutions.
· Ensure proposed integrations are commercially viable and aligned with the event's positioning.
4. Pitching & Business Development · Prepare and deliver compelling sponsorship pitches, presentations and commercial proposals.
· Lead client meetings and presentations from initial discussion to final negotiation.
· Understand client requirements and convert them into commercially attractive partnership solutions.
· Negotiate commercials, deliverables, exclusivities and partnership terms to maximise Sponsorship revenue.
· Maintain a clear and updated pipeline of prospects, proposals, negotiations and closures.
· Provide regular sales forecasts and updates on sponsorship opportunities.
5. Client Relationship & Account Management · Develop long-term relationships with sponsors to drive repeat business and renewals.
· Act as the primary commercial point of contact for sponsors during the partnership lifecycle.
· Understand sponsor expectations and ensure effective communication with internal teams.
· Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and expand existing partnerships across multiple events and properties.
· Build relationships that extend beyond a single event into long-term brand partnerships.
6. Internal Coordination & Sponsorship Execution · Work closely with creative, marketing, production, operations and project teams to ensure sold sponsorship commitments are executed effectively.
· Coordinate internally on sponsor deliverables, branding, integrations, content, hospitality, on-ground activations and other agreed commitments.
· Ensure commercial commitments made during the sales process are clearly communicated to the execution teams.
· Support the team in resolving sponsor-related requirements during the event lifecycle.
· Maintain focus on both client satisfaction and commercial profitability.
Key Skills & Competencies · Strong business development and sponsorship sales capability.
· Proven ability to independently generate leads, pitch, negotiate and close sponsorship deals.
· Strong network among brand marketers, marketing heads, agencies and decision-makers.
· Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
· Strong understanding of brand marketing, sponsorships and experiential integrations.
· Ability to understand a brand's marketing objective and convert it into an event partnership opportunity.
· Commercially strong with a clear focus on revenue generation and achieving targets.
· Creative approach to developing customised sponsorship and integration ideas.
· Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
· Ability to manage multiple events, clients and sales opportunities simultaneously.
· Strong ownership, follow-up and closure orientation.
