Location: Nabinagar / Vindhyachal / Vijayawada / Nellore / Telangana / Hyderabad / Ballari

Reporting To: Regional Head / Business Head ASH

1. Job Purpose To manage and oversee end-to-end ash transportation and disposal operations from thermal power plants to various end-use industries, including cement plants, RMC plants, and road construction projects.

The position will be responsible for managing ash lifting, transportation, vehicle deployment, customer coordination, logistics, and timely disposal/utilization of fly ash while ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, safety, and statutory compliance.

Candidates must have prior hands-on experience in fly ash disposal and transportation from thermal power plants.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Ash Handling & Disposal Operations

- Manage end-to-end fly ash disposal and transportation from thermal power plants.
- Coordinate with power plant authorities for ash availability, lifting schedules, and dispatch planning.
- Ensure regular lifting and evacuation of fly ash from silos, ash ponds, and designated disposal points.
- Coordinate transportation and supply of fly ash to cement plants, RMC plants, road construction, and other utilization projects.
- Ensure timely material movement and achieve daily/monthly ash disposal targets.
- Monitor ash availability, quality, loading, dispatch, and delivery.

B. Transportation & Logistics Management
- Manage deployment of company-owned and market vehicles for ash transportation.
- Coordinate with transporters, fleet owners, and drivers for uninterrupted vehicle availability.
- Monitor vehicle placement, loading, unloading, turnaround time, and trip performance.
- Optimize transportation routes, freight costs, and vehicle utilization.
- Ensure timely delivery of material to customers and project sites.
- Handle vehicle breakdowns, delays, and operational challenges.

C. Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with thermal power plant officials, cement plant representatives, RMC customers, and road contractors.
- Maintain strong working relationships with plant authorities and customers.
- Coordinate daily lifting and delivery schedules.
- Resolve customer complaints related to material quality, quantity, and delivery.




- Ensure customer satisfaction and continuity of supply.

D. Site Operations & Team Management
- Manage day-to-day site activities and supervise supervisors, operators, transporters, and field staff.
- Monitor manpower deployment and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Conduct daily operational reviews and track site performance.
- Ensure proper documentation of dispatches, weighment slips, delivery challans, and vehicle movements.
- Prepare daily MIS reports on ash lifting, transportation, and disposal volumes.

E. Safety & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure safe loading, transportation, unloading, and disposal practices.
- Monitor vehicle safety, driver compliance, and PPE usage.
- Ensure adherence to thermal power plant safety procedures and customer site requirements.
- Coordinate environmental and statutory compliance related to ash handling and utilization.
- Prevent material spillage and ensure proper handling and disposal practices.

F. Commercial & Cost Management
- Monitor transportation costs, freight rates, and operational expenses.
- Verify transporter bills, vehicle trips, and delivery documentation.
- Control logistics costs and improve operational margins.
- Monitor transporter payments and operational reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce turnaround time.

3. Candidate Profile

- 815+ years of experience in ash handling, fly ash transportation, ash disposal, or logistics operations.
- Prior hands-on experience in fly ash disposal from thermal power plants is mandatory.
- Experience in transporting fly ash from thermal power plants to cement plants, RMC plants, road construction projects, or other end-user industries.
- Good understanding of ash evacuation, silo operations, ash pond disposal, and transportation processes.
- Solid experience in managing transporters, fleet deployment, and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of freight rates, transportation costs, and route planning.
- Experience in handling thermal power plant authorities, customers, and contractors.




- Ability to manage site operations independently and achieve daily/monthly targets.
- Strong coordination, team management, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Daily and monthly ash lifting and disposal targets.
- Timely evacuation of ash from thermal power plants.
- On-time delivery to cement, RMC, and road construction customers.
- Vehicle availability and turnaround time.
- Transportation cost per MT.
- Reduction in vehicle waiting time and logistics costs.
- Customer satisfaction and uninterrupted supply.
- Safety compliance and zero major accidents.
- Accuracy of dispatch documentation and operational MIS.

5. Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, or relevant Engineering.
- Experience in thermal power plant ash handling operations.
- Knowledge of fly ash utilization and environmental compliance requirements.

Mandatory Screening Criteria

Must Have

1. Prior experience in fly ash disposal and transportation from thermal power plants.
2. Experience in coordinating with power plant authorities for ash lifting and evacuation.
3. Hands-on experience in transporter management and vehicle deployment.
4. Understanding of supply and transportation of fly ash to cement, RMC, and road construction customers.
5. Ability to independently manage site operations and achieve disposal targets.

Candidates without prior ash disposal / fly ash handling experience should not be considered.
