Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Engineer to lead technical sourcing, supplier development, manufacturing assessments, cost optimization, and project execution for industrial manufacturing projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing knowledge, supplier management expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to independently manage sourcing projects from supplier identification through production readiness and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, RFQs, technical evaluations, negotiations, and supplier selection.
- Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, manufacturing processes, and material specifications.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments, factory audits, and manufacturing evaluations.
- Drive supplier development, quality improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Perform manufacturing quality reviews,



inspections, and production readiness assessments.
- Lead commercial negotiations related to pricing, lead times, tooling, and supply agreements.
- Manage project execution, supplier coordination, and customer communication.
- Identify and mitigate sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain risks.
- Mentor junior sourcing engineers and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience in Technical Sourcing, Strategic Procurement, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supplier Quality.

- CNC Machining

- Fabrication

- Castings

- Forgings

- Hydraulics

- Engineered Assemblies
- Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings, GD&T;, BOMs, and Material Specifications.
- Experience conducting Supplier Audits and Factory Assessments.
- Strong commercial negotiation and cost-analysis skills.
- Willingness to travel across India for supplier development and manufacturing visits.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Industrial OEMs, Tier-1 Suppliers, or Export Manufacturing.
- Exposure to US or European customer requirements.
- Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, FAI, and ISO 9001.
- Experience in Supplier Quality, Localization, Cost Reduction, or New Product Introduction projects.
