Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced senior purchase executive with strong expertise in procurement and vendor management within the stainless steel (SS) fabrication/metal manufacturing industry.

The candidate must have positive communication and negotiation skills, team-handling capabilities, and practical experience in domestic and international procurement, including import & export-related purchasing activities.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the complete purchase process, coordinating with suppliers, handling procurement documentation, and ensuring timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchase & Procurement Management

- Handle end-to-end purchasing activities for raw materials, consumables, machinery, and other production requirements.
- Manage procurement of stainless steel sheets, plates, pipes, tubes, fittings, and other metal-related materials.
- Ensure timely material availability as per production and project requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders, negotiate prices, and follow up with suppliers.
- Monitor purchase costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

2. Import & Export Procurement

- Handle import procurement and coordinate with international suppliers.
- Manage supplier communication, quotations, purchase orders, and import documentation.
- Coordinate with logistics, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal departments.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely material delivery.
- Knowledge of export-related documentation and coordination is preferred.

3. Vendor Management & Negotiation

- Identify, evaluate,



and develop reliable domestic and international vendors.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure timely deliveries.

4. Team Handling & Coordination

- Manage and guide the purchase team.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Stores, Accounts, Quality, and Project departments.
- Ensure smooth procurement operations and timely execution of purchase requirements.
- Prepare purchase reports and MIS.

5. Inventory & Cost Control

- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores for material requirements.
- Avoid excess inventory and material shortages.
- Ensure procurement within approved budgets.
- Maintain proper purchase records and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical, Commerce, Business Administration, or a Related Field.
- Relevant experience in purchase/procurement.
- Strong experience in the stainless steel / metal / fabrication / manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Practical knowledge of SS grades, sheets, plates, pipes, and metal-related materials.
- Experience in import & export procurement activities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Team-handling and vendor-management experience.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and purchase documentation.
- Ability to independently manage procurement activities.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with hands-on experience in stainless steel fabrication, metal manufacturing, import procurement, international vendor coordination, and team management will be preferred.
