Role: Full Stack Java Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join the GDAS team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java backend development, frontend technologies, REST APIs, and relational databases.

The role involves end-to-end application development, system integrations, process automation, application enhancements, production support, and troubleshooting business-critical applications. The candidate will be responsible for developing secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications for the GDAS internal platform.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Build and maintain backend services, business logic, REST APIs, servlets, scheduled jobs, and system integrations using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs, databases, and external services.
- Develop automation solutions to minimize manual operational activities and improve process efficiency.
- Monitor application performance, health, and availability while supporting day-to-day system operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, database, integration, performance, and production-related issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurring issues.
- Support application releases, deployments, configuration changes, production validation, and rollback activities.
- Improve application security, performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.




- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure application quality.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-transfer documents.
- Collaborate with product owners, solution architects, developers, infrastructure teams, support teams, and external stakeholders.
- Take ownership of production incidents and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

Required Technical Skills

Java Backend Development

- Solid hands-on experience in Core Java and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Experience developing Java-based web applications.
- Good knowledge of Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
- Experience developing REST APIs, web services, servlets, and backend integrations.
- Understanding of exception handling, logging, debugging, and secure coding practices.

Frontend Development

- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework: React or Angular.
- Ability to integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Understanding of data flow, form validation, error handling, authentication, and browser compatibility.

Database Management

- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of data modelling, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.

Development Tools and Testing

- Experience with Maven or Gradle for build management.
- Proficiency in Git or equivalent version control tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.




- Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and code review practices.

Application Support and Maintenance

- Experience supporting production or business-critical applications.
- Ability to investigate and resolve application incidents and performance issues.
- Understanding of application monitoring, deployment processes, and operational maintenance.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge or working experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x or AEM as a Cloud Service).
- Familiarity with AEM technologies such as HTL, Sling Models, OSGi, JCR/CRX, Client Libraries, Servlets, Workflows, and Configurations.
- Experience working with React and component-based UI development in an AEM environment.
- Experience with Java debugging and application server configuration in an AEM environment.
- Knowledge of automation technologies such as PowerShell, Python, or Power Automate.
- Exposure to JBoss or other Java application servers.
- Understanding of access management, data protection, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Experience with containerization, cloud platforms, observability, and automated application monitoring.
