Role Description The Senior Consultant Neurologist will provide comprehensive neurological care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, and emergency evaluations, in an on-site role based in Thodupuzha.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions, interpreting neuroimaging and diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior clinicians, and contributing to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives. The neurologist will also participate in patient education, clinical documentation, and, where applicable, case discussions and clinical review meetings.





This is a full time position requiring consistent on-site presence and commitment to high clinical standards.

Qualifications

- Advanced clinical expertise in neurology, including diagnosis and management of common and complex neurological disorders.
- Proficiency in interpreting neuroimaging and neurological investigations (e.g., MRI, CT, EEG, nerve conduction studies) and integrating findings into clinical care.
- Strong skills in patient communication, counseling, and shared decision-making, with a focus on compassionate, ethical care.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to clinical governance.
- Excellent clinical documentation, organizational, and time management skills to handle a busy inpatient and outpatient workload.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with specialist qualification in Neurology (MD/DNB DM Neurology or equivalent), and valid medical council registration.
- Prior experience in a consultant or senior registrar neurologist role in a hospital setting; experience in acute neurology or stroke care is an advantage.
