1. JOB PURPOSE

To ensure a safe working workplace by implementing workplace safety standards, monitoring statutory compliance, preventing accidents and promoting safety awareness across the plant.
1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Implement and monitor workplace safety policies, procedures and EHS standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory safety regulations and requirements.
- Monitor the safe operation of machinery, equipment, electrical systems and material handling activities.
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programmes for employees and contract workers.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe practices and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor fire safety systems, emergency exits, firefighting equipment and emergency preparedness.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments and maintain safety-related documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and HR departments for effective implementation of safety practices.

- Reduction in workplace accidents and incidents.

- Timely closure of safety observations.

1. TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

- Knowledge of Industrial Safety, EHS and applicable factory regulations.
- Knowledge of HIRA, Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis.
- Fire safety and emergency management.
- Accident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication, observation and coordination skills.

1. AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

- Authority to report and escalate unsafe working conditions.
- Recommend stoppage of unsafe activities until necessary controls are implemented.
- Responsible for workplace safety monitoring, accident prevention and statutory safety compliance.

Overall Accountability: To establish and maintain a safe working environment through effective safety management, risk control, employee awareness and continuous improvement in workplace safety standards. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
