Senior QA Automation Engineer/ Automation Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Python-based automation, Selenium/Test Complete, CI/CD, API testing, database validation, and modern source-control practices.

The ideal candidate should have solid end-to-end testing experience across UI, API, database, and integration layers and be comfortable working within Azure DevOps/Jira-driven Agile delivery environments.

Mandatory / Key Skills

- Programming: Good hands-on experience in Python is mandatory.
- Test Automation: Hands-on automation experience using Selenium and TestComplete, with preference for candidates having exposure to both.
- CI/CD: Practical experience integrating automated tests with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Project & Test Management: Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira; experience with Zephyr is preferred.
- Functional & Technical Testing: Hands-on experience in:
- API Testing:



Experience with Postman, SOAP UI and Rest Assured.
- Database: Good hands-on SQL knowledge, preferably with SQL Server.
- Version Control: Strong experience with Git-based repositories, including GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps Repos.
- Git / Engineering Practices: Good understanding of:
- API Testing
- Database Testing
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke and Sanity Testing
- Black-box and White-box Testing
- GitFlow / branching strategies
- Pull requests
- Code reviews
- Merge conflict resolution
- Repository management
- CI/CD integration

Nice to Have

- Experience with additional automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, Robot Framework, Cypress, or Nightwatch.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, SAP, or Knowledge Management Systems.
- Exposure to databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, or Snowflake.
- Experience with Java or JavaScript in addition to Python.
