Production
Meet the daily production plan at the required quality, with minimal wastage and downtime.
- Plan each shift’s batches (roasting, cooking, moulding, cutting, cooling, packing) against the daily and weekly targets set by management.
- Start up and shut down the lines on time; check machines, weighing scales and temperatures before each run.
- Follow the approved recipes and batch sizes; record the quantity produced, rejects and wastage for every batch.
- Check product quality at each stage (taste, texture, size, colour, sealing, weight) and stop or rework any batch that fails.
- Enforce hygiene: clean uniforms, hair covers and gloves, handwashing, daily line cleaning and pest control.
- Keep peanut allergen handling and labelling correct, and keep the factory ready for FSSAI inspection and audits.
- Report breakdowns early, raise maintenance requests and track repairs to completion.
- Suggest ways to cut wastage, speed up changeovers and improve yield.
Stock Keep raw materials, packaging and finished goods accurate, fresh and never short.
- Check incoming peanuts, jaggery or sugar, glucose, packaging and other materials against the order for quantity and quality before accepting them.
- Store stock correctly: first-in-first-out, off the floor, away from moisture and pests, with batch and date labels.
- Keep daily records of opening stock, issues to production, receipts and closing stock for raw material, packaging and finished goods.
- Do a physical stock count at the interval management sets, explain any difference and report it.
- Raise purchase requests in time,
based on the production plan and the reorder levels agreed with management.
- Dispatch finished goods against orders, with correct counts, batch details and loading records.
- Remove expired, damaged or rejected stock and keep a record of it.
Manpower Have the right people on the right station every shift, trained, safe and accountable.
- Prepare the shift roster and assign workers to stations; arrange cover when someone is absent.
- Take daily attendance and overtime records and send them to the accounts or HR contact on time.
- Train new workers on recipes, machine operation, hygiene and safety, and refresh the training for existing staff.
- Set explicit daily targets, check output and give feedback; recognise good work and address poor performance.
- Handle discipline and conflicts fairly, and escalate serious issues to management.
- Enforce safety rules: machine guards, hot sugar and oven precautions, protective gear, and a first-aid kit that is stocked and easy to reach.
- Report every injury or near miss immediately and make sure it is recorded.
- Follow labour rules on working hours, wages, PF/ESI and the Factories Act as applicable to the factory.
Reporting and coordination Give management a clear daily picture and flag problems before they become delays.
- Submit a daily report covering production quantity, rejects and wastage, stock position, attendance and any breakdowns.
- Send a weekly summary against targets with the main issues and what is needed to fix them.
- Coordinate with purchase, maintenance, accounts and dispatch so materials, repairs and orders arrive on time.
- Escalate quality failures, safety incidents, stock shortages and staffing gaps the same day.
