Role & responsibilities

- Manage daily production activities in the Paint Shop to achieve production targets.

- Ensure smooth operation of Pretreatment (PT), ED, Powder Coating, and Liquid Painting processes.

- Monitor paint quality parameters such as DFT, gloss, adhesion, and surface finish.

- Control paint consumption and improve material utilization to reduce process costs.

- Implement and sustain TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Production Planning, and SCM teams for smooth operations.

- Monitor process parameters and take corrective actions to eliminate defects.

- Analyze paint-related defects such as peeling, pinholes, orange peel, dust marks, and poor adhesion.

- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

- Prepare production reports, shift reports,



rejection analysis, and productivity reports.

- Conduct manpower planning and optimize workforce utilization.

- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce rework.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

- 3-6 years of experience in Automotive Paint Shop operations.

- Experience in ED Coating, Powder Coating, Liquid Painting, and Surface Treatment processes.

- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.

- Familiarity with automotive quality systems and customer requirements.
