Role Description The Press Operator – Open Die Forging is a full-time, on-site role based in Gujarat, India, responsible for operating and monitoring open die forging presses to produce heavy forged components according to specifications. This position involves setting up machines, selecting and positioning dies, handling and aligning workpieces, and controlling press operations to achieve required dimensions and material properties.

The role includes performing routine checks on equipment, monitoring process parameters, identifying production issues, and coordinating with supervisors and maintenance teams to resolve them.

Operator is expected to follow safety procedures,



support quality inspections of forged parts, maintain production records, and collaborate with the forging and quality teams to ensure consistent output and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

- Ability to operate heavy forging presses and related equipment, demonstrating strong Machine Operation skills.
- Knowledge of inspection methods and Quality Control practices for forged components and industrial processes.
- Understanding of basic Printing and Pre-press concepts where relevant to marking, identification, or documentation of components.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify equipment or process issues and support corrective actions during forging operations.
- Experience in open die forging, heavy industrial manufacturing, or metalworking is preferred.
- Familiarity with safety standards, PPE usage, and safe handling of heavy materials in a plant environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
- Secondary or vocational education in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial trades; technical certification in forging or machine operation is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in shifts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain accurate production documentation.
