1. Educational qualifications

The following qualifications are generally preferred for appointment as a Pre-Primary Teacher:

- Graduate.

- Diploma in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT).

- Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).

- Diploma in Pre-Primary Teacher Training.

- Diploma in Montessori Teacher Training.

- B.Ed. with relevant early-childhood education training may also be considered, subject to applicable recruitment rules.

Preferred qualification: Class XII with a recognised NTT/ECCE qualification or a relevant degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education.

1. Skills and competencies expected

A Pre-Primary Teacher should have:

- Knowledge of child psychology and child development (ages 3–6).

- Understanding of play-way and activity-based teaching methods.

- Knowledge of phonics, pre-reading and pre-writing skills.

- Basic numeracy and language development techniques.





- Ability to conduct storytelling, rhymes, art and craft activities.

- Classroom management and child safety skills.

- Knowledge of inclusive education and handling children with different learning needs.

- Positive communication skills in English and the regional language.

1. Experience

- Freshers with the required qualifications may be considered.

- 1–2 years of Pre-Primary teaching experience is generally preferred by schools.

- Experience in Montessori or play-way teaching is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
