P&C; Insurance - Rating/Pricing/Underwriting - Gurgaon

We are looking for a P&C; Insurance professional with 2+ years of experience in rating, pricing, premium calculations or rating implementation. The role involves working on rating logic, rating factors, rate changes, premium validation and testing across insurance systems. Candidates with hands-on exposure to rating engines and policy administration platforms are preferred.

Responsibilities -

1. Work on P&C; insurance rating and pricing methodologies, including premium calculation logic, rating factors, discounts, surcharges and rating rules.
2. Review and implement rate changes, rating tables, rate books and other pricing-related configurations.
3. Configure,test or validate rating logic across insurance platforms and rating engines.
4. Perform premium testing by comparing expected versus actual premium calculations and investigating discrepancies.
5. Execute UAT, regression testing and rating validation to ensure accuracy of premium calculations.
6. Identify rating discrepancies, analyse calculation mismatches and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
7. Support continuous improvement of rating implementation, testing and validation processes.

Requirements -

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related discipline.
2. 2+ years of experience in P&C; Insurance, with exposure to underwriting, rating, pricing or premium calculations.
3. Understanding of rating factors, premium calculation logic, discounts, surcharges, rating rules and rate changes.
4. Hands-on experience in rating configuration, testing or validation across insurance systems.
5. Exposure to insurance platforms such as Guidewire PolicyCenter, Oracle Insbridge or Duck Creek is preferred.
6.



Experience in premium validation, rating testing, UAT, regression testing or pricing validation.
7. Strong proficiency in MS Excel. Knowledge of SQL or Python would be an added advantage.
8. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify premium discrepancies and investigate rating-related issues.
