Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Translate complex ophthalmic terminology, diagnostic reports, and doctor prescriptions into straightforward language for patients and their families.
- Educate patients on recommended surgical procedures, pre-operative instructions, post-operative care, and recovery timelines.
- Provide psychological support, clear doubts, and handle patient hesitations regarding eye surgeries.
- Follow up with advised patients to counsel them into scheduling their procedures, achieving the hospital's conversion targets.
- Maintain accurate physical or electronic health records (EHR) of patient counseling sessions, chosen packages, and refusal reasons.
- Address patient grievances during their hospital journey and collect testimonials or feedback forms.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Psychology, Optometry, Nursing, or a related field. Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience as a counselor or front-office executive in a hospital setup (direct experience in an Eye Hospital or Ophthalmic Clinic is highly preferred).
