Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, Dice, Indeed, and other platforms.

- Identify OPT, STEM OPT, and CPT candidates.

- Build and maintain a candidate database.

- Search for candidates based on skills, experience, location, and job requirements.

- Review candidate resumes and technical skills.

- Match candidates' qualifications with available job requirements.

- Verify education, experience, technical skills, and project details.

- Identify suitable candidates for client requirements.

- Understand F-1 OPT and STEM OPT work authorization basics.

- Check candidates' EAD validity dates.

- Understand OPT start dates and expiration dates.

- Coordinate with candidates regarding work authorization documentation.





- Refer immigration-related questions to the employer's authorized immigration or DSO contacts.

- Communicate with implementation partners, vendors, and direct clients.

- Follow up on submitted resumes.

- Maintain skilled relationships with vendors.

- Negotiate pay rates and understand contract terms.

Skills Required for an OPT Recruiter

- Excellent communication skills.

- Good knowledge of US recruitment.

- Understanding of OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, and H-1B basics.

- Knowledge of job portals such as Dice, LinkedIn, and Indeed.

- Resume screening and Boolean search skills.

- Negotiation and convincing skills.
