Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering

Job Purpose

Responsible for operating, programming, and optimizing CNC sheet metal and pipe bending machines while applying DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) principles to improve manufacturability, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Program, set up, and operate CNC sheet metal, tube, and pipe bending machines.
- Optimize bending processes, tooling selection, and machine parameters to achieve production targets.
- Review drawings and designs from a DFMA perspective and provide manufacturability improvements.
- Ensure compliance with dimensional, quality, and safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot process, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and rework.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth execution of projects.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and process standardization.




- Support new product development, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with CNC Press Brake, Tube Bending, and Pipe Bending Machines.
- Solid knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication and DFMA principles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Experience in tooling selection, process optimization, and quality control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis.

Preferred Industry Experience Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, Steel Structures, Automotive, Railways, Oil & Gas, or Process Plant Industries.

- Productivity and OEE improvement.
- Reduction in rejection, rework, and cycle time.
- Manufacturing cost savings through DFMA initiatives.
- Achievement of quality and delivery targets.
