Role & responsibilities
- Process Safety: Conduct HAZOP/HIRA studies for chemical reactions and manage solvent handling and flameproof area compliance.
- Work Permits: Issue and audit the Permit to Work (PTW) system for hot work, height work, and confined spaces.
- Setting: Oversee Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations and ensure hazardous waste disposal matches environmental norms.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain EHS registers, prepare for regulatory inspections, and implement ISO 14001/45001 standards.
- Incidents & CAPA: Investigate near-misses and accidents using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to deploy preventive actions.
- Training: Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and chemical spill response mock drills.
Preferred candidate profile 4 to 6 years of core EHS experience exclusively in Pharma API, Bulk Drugs, or Specialty Chemical manufacturing plants.
