Job Title: Nursing Superintendent

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and agile Nursing Superintendent to lead, manage, and oversee all nursing services across our hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance (including NABH guidelines), and effective staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Nursing Administration & Leadership:
- Supervise, manage, and coordinate daily operations of all nursing units, wards, ICUs, and Operation Theatres (OT).
- Prepare duty rosters, manage staff allocation, and ensure optimal nursing coverage across all shifts.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and continuous training of nursing staff (GNM / B.Sc. Nursing).
- Patient Care & Quality Standards:
- Ensure high quality, compassionate, and patient-centric nursing care in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Maintain and enforce strict infection control practices, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure full compliance with NABH standards and conduct regular quality audits.
- Inventory & Resource Management:




- Monitor stock levels of medical supplies, consumables, and emergency medicines in nursing stations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of nursing equipment in coordination with biomedical teams.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Act as a bridge between hospital management, duty doctors, consultants, and the nursing team.
- Address and resolve patient complaints or administrative issues related to nursing care promptly.

Key Requirements & Qualifications:

- Education: B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing / General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
- Experience: 815+ years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 5–8years in a supervisory or senior managerial role (e.g., Deputy Nursing Superintendent / Nursing Supervisor).
- Registration: Mandatory registration with the State Nursing Council.
