Position Details

- Job Title: Supply Chain Engineer
- Department: New Product Development (NPD)
- Experience: Minimum 3+ Years
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Location: Rajkot, Gujarat
- Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Engineering / Food Machinery

Key Responsibilities
- Study and interpret engineering drawings, product designs, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the Design and Production teams for prototype development and manufacturing feasibility.
- Identify design-related issues, manufacturing challenges, and technical discrepancies during product development.
- Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with the Design team.
- Prepare and manage BOMs, material specifications, and component requirements.
- Identify and develop suppliers for raw materials, components, and tooling.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, and Production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Monitor procurement lead times, material shortages,



outsourced components, and job work activities.
- Analyze material and procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure product compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of BOMs, supplier records, material specifications, quotations, and procurement trackers.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Material Planning.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and identify design errors.
- Understanding of manufacturing feasibility and prototype development.
- Knowledge of design software and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
