Key Responsibilities 1. NPD / NPI Engineering

- Lead machining and fabrication activities from RFQ, design review and prototyping through process validation and production release.
- Review customer drawings, 3D models, BOMs, specifications and GD&T.;
- Develop process concepts, routing, tooling, fixtures and inspection strategies.
- Drive prototype-to-production transition and resolve product launch issues.

2. DFM / DFA & Design Optimisation

- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews for CNC Turning, Milling, Multi-axis Machining, Grinding, Secondary Operations and Assembly.
- Recommend tolerance optimisation, part consolidation and material/process improvements.
- Identify manufacturing risks and integrate findings with PFMEA and Control Plans.

3. Metal & Plastic Machining Expertise

- Strong technical expertise in:

- CNC Turning and Milling

- Swiss Machining
- 5-Axis Machining

- Grinding and Honing

- EDM

- Mechanical Assemblies
- Experience with stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and engineering plastics.
- Knowledge of surface treatments such as passivation,



plating, painting and powder coating.
- Resolve dimensional variations, surface defects and assembly-related issues.

4. Process Development & Industrialisation

- Develop process flows, work instructions, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing methods for new products.
- Define critical process parameters, CTQs and acceptance criteria.
- Support IQ/OQ/PQ and process validation.
- Drive process capability improvements (Cp/Cpk).

5. Quality & Compliance

- Working knowledge of ISO 13485:2016.
- Awareness of FDA QMS / 21 CFR Part 820 and EU MDR.
- Handle NCR, CAPA, deviations, root-cause analysis and audit requirements.
- Support change control and manufacturing transfer.

6. Tooling, Fixtures & Cost Engineering

- Define cutting tools, work holding, fixtures and gauges.
- Support CMM programming, MSA and inspection planning.
- Provide engineering inputs for RFQ costing, material utilisation, cycle time and tooling costs.
- Identify VA/VE opportunities and support make-or-buy decisions.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of precision metal and plastic component machining.
- Advanced understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings and tolerancing.
- Strong DFM/DFA and process-planning capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks / Creo / UG-NX.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA and process capability.
- Experience in NPD/NPI, prototype development and production industrialisation.
- Problem-solving skills using 8D, 5-Why and Root Cause Analysis.
