Senior Network Test Engineer

Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Work location: Bangalore/ Pune/ Noida

1. Feature & Protocol Testing: Test network routing features to ensure they work exactly as designed.
2. Regression Testing: Re test existing features across different software versions to find new bugs or performance drops.
3. L2 & L3 VPN Testing: Set up and test virtual private networks, ensuring traffic flows correctly and safely between virtual routers.
4. Lab Setup: Recreate real world customer networks in a lab environment using traffic generators.
5. Troubleshooting: Find network bugs, analyze packet captures (Wireshark), and work with developers to fix them.
6. Network automation: Python, Ansible, REST APIs

Technologies:
1. MPLS Basics: Positive understanding of how MPLS works, including LDP and RSVP TE.
2. VPN Services: Hands on experience testing L3VPNs and L2VPNs (VPLS, VPWS, EVPN).
3. Routing Protocols: Strong knowledge of how BGP / MP BGP, OSPF, and IS IS build paths and neighbors.
4. Network Convergence: Experience testing fast failover mechanisms like BFD and FRR (Fast Reroute).

Testing Tools: Experience using hardware traffic tools like Ixia (IxNetwork) or Spirent, along with Wireshark.
