Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Network and Traffic Engineering Engineer to design, operate, and optimise its global edge network infrastructure. The role involves BGP routing, DDoS mitigation, network architecture, global traffic steering, and network automation across Points of Presence (PoPs) and colocation sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage BGP routing, transit and peering relationships, routing policies, multihoming, and routing optimisation.
- Design and implement DDoS detection and mitigation using BGP FlowSpec, remotely triggered blackholing (RTBH), and sFlow.
- Support DNS-based traffic steering, GeoDNS, health-based routing, and IP-geolocation data management.
- Design PoP and colocation network architecture, including network security and out-of-band management.
- Automate network configuration and deployment using Ansible and Python.
- Maintain network inventory and IP address management using NetBox or equivalent tools.
- Implement configuration version control and CI/CD workflows using GitLab.
- Troubleshoot production network incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Prepare network design documents, operational runbooks, and site deployment checklists.
- Coordinate with transit providers, colocation partners, and DDoS protection vendors.

Mandatory Skills

- 7+ years of network engineering experience in an ISP, telecom, CDN, hosting,



or large-scale edge-network environment.
- Strong hands-on BGP routing, routing policies, communities, and multihoming.
- Production experience with DDoS mitigation, BGP FlowSpec (RFC 8955), and RTBH.
- Experience with sFlow, NetFlow, or IPFIX.
- Knowledge of GeoDNS, global traffic steering, anycast, and IP geolocation.
- Production router and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on Ansible and NetBox or equivalent network inventory tools.
- Python scripting and GitLab CI/CD.
- Production incident response and on-call experience.
- Robust written English and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

- sFlow-RT, authoritative DNS, and Internet Exchange peering.
- Commercial WAF/DDoS platform integration.
- Prometheus monitoring.
- Router hardware evaluation and cost estimation.
- Redis/Kafka and Vault-compatible secrets management.

Candidate Expectations

- Comfortable working remotely with distributed international teams.
- Able to provide examples of network design documents or operational runbooks.
- Willing to work shifted hours and participate in the agreed on-call rotation.
- Able to complete background verification and sign an NDA before receiving access.

Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per month
