Chemical Engineering • Preferred Post-Graduation: M.Tech in Process Engineering or Hydrometallurgy.

- Certification in Industrial Safety & Health (HSE).
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Preferred institutes (India): IITs, NITs, ICT Mumbai, etc.
Experience
5- 10 years in:
Precious metal refining
Hydrometallurgy
Electrochemical refining
Experience in gold/silver recovery processes is critical The Role of the Chemical Engineer In an LBMA-standard refinery, the Chemical Engineer (or Metallurgical Engineer) is the "Brain" of the operation.
Their responsibilities include:
- Process Optimization: Managing the chemical balance in electrolytic cells to maximize purity and minimize waste.
- Environmental Compliance: Designing and maintaining Scrubber Systems to neutralize toxic fumes (like Chlorine gas or Aqua Regia vapors).
- Quality Control: Supervising the laboratory and ensuring that every batch meets the 995.0 parts per thousand minimum threshold.
- Health & Safety (HSE): Implementing protocols for handling hazardous chemicals and molten metal
