Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team as an AI Billing Specialist. You will manage end-to-end medical billing operations with a strong focus on gastroenterology.

You will work alongside our AI systems to improve claim accuracy, reduce denials and strengthen revenue cycle performance. The ideal candidate knows payer guidelines, coding rules and billing workflows deeply, and is excited to help shape the future of healthcare billing with AI.

Core Responsibilities

- Manage the complete billing cycle for gastroenterology services: charge entry, claim submission, payment posting and follow-up.
- Review and resolve clearinghouse rejections promptly so claims are resubmitted on time.
- Monitor and raise the clean claim rate by finding the root causes of denials and putting corrective workflows in place.
- Work directly with our AI billing platform to validate outputs, flag anomalies and give expert feedback that improves model accuracy.
- Analyze payer-specific guidelines and apply them accurately across claims to minimize underpayments and denials.
- Apply correct coding rules, CPT and ICD-10 codes, and procedure modifiers for compliant, optimized billing.
- Audit billing data and reports regularly to spot trends, errors and revenue leakage.
- Coordinate with clinical and front-office teams to resolve documentation gaps and coding queries.
- Keep accurate,



organized records of all billing activity, appeals and correspondence.
- Stay current on changes to payer policies, AMA and CMS coding guidelines, and gastroenterology-specific billing updates.

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of proven experience in US medical billing, with a strong focus on gastroenterology (endoscopy, colonoscopy and ASC billing).
- Proficiency in one or more practice management systems, such as ModMed gGastro, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, athenaOne, AdvancedMD or Tebra (Kareo).
- Hands-on experience with clearinghouses such as Availity, Waystar, Trizetto or Change Healthcare, including rejection and denial workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to improve clean claim rates and reduce denials through root-cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer guidelines, including prior authorization and timely filing rules.
- Solid knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS coding, NCCI edits, and modifiers common in GI billing (e.g. -25, -59, -33, -PT, -53).
- Familiarity with the end-to-end revenue cycle: eligibility verification, AR follow-up, payment posting and appeals.
- Excellent spoken and written English with clear communication skills.
- Fast, accurate typing for productive data entry, claim logging and documentation.
- Must live in Gurugram, preferably near Udyog Vihar.





Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in medical billing or coding, such as CPC, CPB or CBCS (AAPC, AHIMA or NHA).
- Prior experience supporting US healthcare providers or billing companies from an offshore team.
- Experience using, or giving feedback on, AI/ML-based billing automation tools.
- Knowledge of revenue cycle KPIs such as Days in AR, denial rate, first-pass resolution rate and net collection rate.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and PHI data-handling protocols.
- Experience with ERA/EOB reconciliation and secondary claim billing.
- Background in credentialing or payer enrollment.
