Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Incharge Road & Highways to manage ash/fly ash utilization operations for highway and expressway projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in ash transportation, embankment execution, coordination with thermal power plants, and management of contractors and transport vendors for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling fly ash logistics and utilization works for NHAI, highway, expressway, or major road construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Ash Utilization & Project Execution

- Manage end-to-end fly ash utilization activities for highway embankment and road construction projects.
- Supervise ash-based embankment works as per project specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure timely availability and movement of ash from thermal power plants to project sites.
- Coordinate execution activities with project teams, contractors, consultants, and authorities.

Logistics & Transportation Management

- Handle transportation planning and logistics operations for fly ash movement.
- Manage transport vendors, fleet deployment, dispatch schedules, and trip monitoring.
- Ensure smooth coordination between thermal power plants, transporters, and construction sites.
- Optimize transportation costs and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Liaise with agencies such as National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), NTPC Limited, contractors, transporters, and local authorities.
- Coordinate approvals, documentation, and operational clearances related to ash utilization.
- Maintain strong relationships with plant officials and project stakeholders.

Commercial & Contract Management

- Support preparation and execution of transportation and rate contracts.




- Negotiate transportation rates and vendor agreements.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project timelines and commercial terms.

Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and fly ash utilization norms.
- Maintain MIS reports related to ash movement, utilization quantities, transportation costs, and site progress.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 1015 years of experience in fly ash utilization, ash transportation, road/highway embankment projects, or infrastructure construction.
- Solid exposure to NHAI/highway/expressway projects involving ash-based embankment works.
- Experience in coordinating with thermal power plants, especially NTPC Limited and other ash-generating units.
- Sound knowledge of fly ash logistics, transportation planning, and contractor management.
- Hands-on experience in vendor management, transportation contracts, and rate negotiations.
- Good understanding of ash utilization guidelines, embankment practices, and site execution activities.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Additional experience in logistics/fleet operations will be an advantage.
