Manager - Record to Report (RTR) - Insurance Life & Annuity - 7 Years - Kochi We are looking for an experienced Manager - Record to Report (RTR) to lead financial accounting and reporting operations for the Insurance Life & Annuity (L&A;) segment. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in insurance accounting, month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting, along with proven team management and stakeholder-handling capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) operations for the Insurance Life & Annuity business, ensuring accurate financial accounting, journal processing, and reporting.
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and timely financial closures.
- Review and consolidate financial reports, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
- Drive process improvement, automation, close-process transitions, and ERP optimisation, while monitoring key performance indicators and identifying operational improvement opportunities.




- Lead and develop the RTR team while coordinating with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables and effective issue resolution.

Requirements

- Minimum 7 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR) within the insurance industry, preferably with specific exposure to Life & Annuity (L&A;) accounting.
- Solid hands-on experience in month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of insurance accounting standards, IFRS 17, Local GAAP, and insurance financial processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, along with advanced MS Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CA/CPA preferred. Strong team leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are essential.

Important: This role requires mandatory insurance accounting and RTR experience. Candidates with only general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or non-insurance finance operations experience without relevant RTR exposure may not be suitable.
