Payswiff Technologies is looking for an experienced Lead – Backend Engineering professional with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, System Design, and Distributed Architectures.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend systems, reusable frameworks, libraries, and common platform modules that eliminate boilerplate code and improve developer productivity.

This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong hands-on coding, architectural thinking, problem-solving, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems and distributed architectures.
- Develop reusable frameworks, libraries, Spring Boot starters, and common backend components.
- Build reusable solutions for logging, exception handling, security, configuration, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
- Define architectural patterns, design principles, and engineering best practices.
- Develop microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, latency, and resource utilization.
- Implement observability solutions covering logging, metrics, tracing, and APM.
- Develop integrations with databases, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, and external services.
- Ensure application security, maintainability,



scalability, and production readiness.
- Independently own technical design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of reusable modules.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive framework adoption and improve developer productivity.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, and JVM Internals.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring AOP.
- Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.
- Proven experience developing reusable frameworks, libraries, and platform-level components.
- Solid knowledge of System Design, Microservices, and Distributed Systems.
- Experience with REST APIs, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, and relational databases.
- Understanding of application performance tuning, distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secure API development, and OWASP Top 10.
