The Junior Design Engineer will handle design and technical documentation activities for HVAC products, independently managing routine design tasks, technical queries and troubleshooting, while escalating complex issues to senior engineers. The role involves close coordination with the Design, Testing & Validation and Technical Support functions to ensure accurate and timely execution of design-related work.

Responsibilities

Design Execution

·Prepare and update engineering drawings, 3D models and technical specifications for HVAC products.

· Execute minor design modifications and value engineering changes as directed by senior engineers.

Technical Documentation

· Own the upkeep of technical documentation, product manuals and selection guides, ensuring records are accurate and current.

· Organize and maintain design and test records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.

Technical Query Resolution

· Handle routine technical queries from the Sales team and customers independently.

· Troubleshoot standard product issues and escalate complex cases to senior team members with relevant context and analysis.

Coordination with Design & Testing Teams

· Work with the Design Engineering and Testing & Validation teams to gather technical inputs required for documentation and support.

· Compile and analyze data on product feedback to support improvement initiatives.





Process & Cross-Functional Support

· Ensure design and documentation work adheres to defined standards, flagging discrepancies to senior engineers where needed.

· Address basic technical clarifications raised by Production and Quality teams related to product design.

Prototype & Testing Support

· Prepare prototypes and carry out basic testing activities under the guidance of senior engineers.

· Collect, organize and present data from testing and validation cycles for team review.

Skills

Working proficiency in design/CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

· Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals with practical exposure to HVAC applications.

· Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

· Valuable communication skills to handle queries independently.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in design or technical support, preferably in HVAC or a related engineering/manufacturing industry.
