Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and analytical Junior Credit Underwriter to join our Credit and Risk Management team. You will play a key role in assessing the financial health and repayment capacity of applicants for Secured Loans and Loan Against Property (LAP). This is an excellent prospect for freshers and early-career professionals with strong analytical ability and communication skills to build a lasting career in credit underwriting and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Health Analysis

- Analyse bank statements, Income Tax Returns (ITRs), pay slips and financial statements to evaluate the applicants overall financial health.

- Calculate key credit metrics, including Debt-to-Income (DTI) ratio, Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio (FOIR) and Net Monthly Income (NMI).

- Review existing loan obligations and track repayment behaviour using CIBIL / Experian credit bureau reports.

Customer Interaction and Verification

- Conduct telephonic or personal discussions (PD) with applicants to verify business or employment details, income sources and loan end-use.

- Engage professionally with customers to clarify financial discrepancies and obtain missing documentation.

Collateral and Document Support





- Assist the senior credit team in organising and cross-verifying property-related documents, including KYC, Legal Search Reports and Technical Valuation Reports.

- Perform basic CERSAI portal checks to ensure the property is free of prior encumbrances.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Analytical mindset: Strong numerical aptitude to quickly assess financial health, cash flows and customer eligibility.

- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi (knowledge of Marathi or other local languages is a plus) for effective customer discussions.

- Basic financial literacy: Understanding of bank statement analysis, basic accounting concepts and credit bureau scores.

- Tech-savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and basic computer applications.

- Detail-oriented: Keen eye for spotting discrepancies in documentation or income claims.
