IT Technician

About the Role

RIMT University is hiring an IT Technician to maintain and support IT infrastructure across our campus, including classrooms, labs, offices, and events.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, projectors, and other hardware
- Provide first-level technical support to faculty, staff, and students
- Troubleshoot software, OS, and network issues (LAN/Wi-Fi)
- Set up IT equipment for classrooms, labs, and university events
- Maintain IT asset inventory and log complaints and resolutions
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and data backups

Requirements

- Diploma/ITI in Computer Hardware/Networking, or B.Sc./BCA in IT/Computer Science
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support or hardware/network maintenance (strong freshers may apply)
- Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking
- Familiarity with CCTV, biometric systems, and projectors is a plus
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented attitude
