Job Purpose The Integration Developer designs, develops, tests, deploys and maintains enterprise integrations across Workday, Workato and other business applications using APIs, middleware and integration technologies. The role builds reliable workflows, supports production integrations, troubleshoots issues and works with architects, technical leads and business teams to translate requirements into maintainable solutions. The role is expected to follow agreed security, documentation, testing and deployment standards while continuously improving performance, reliability and cost efficiency.

Integration development

Design and develop integrations between Workday, enterprise SaaS applications, internal platforms and third-party systems using appropriate integration technologies and patterns.

Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain integrations using Workato, Workday and other enterprise integration technologies.

Build multi-step workflows using conditional logic, error handling and job monitoring.

Create reusable components, data mappings and transformation logic.

API and connectivity

Develop integrations using REST and SOAP APIs and webhooks.

Build and support inbound and outbound integrations across HR, Finance, CRM and other enterprise platforms using APIs, middleware and event-driven architectures.

Configure OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT and Basic Authentication.

Maintain secure API connections and credential handling.

Delivery lifecycle

Support requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment and hypercare.

Perform unit and integration testing and support business users during UAT.

Maintain deployment and configuration documentation.





Production support

Monitor and maintain production integrations.

Investigate failures using logs and job information.

Implement fixes and enhancements and escalate complex issues appropriately.

Standards and governance

Follow integration patterns, naming standards and development best practice.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving governance.

Ensure solutions meet security and documentation expectations.

Optimisation

Optimise recipes for performance, reliability and cost efficiency.

Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce recurring failures.

Integration experience

Two to four years of hands-on integration experience in enterprise environments.

Workato

Experience building integrations using Workato or similar iPaaS platforms, with the ability to design and support complex enterprise integration solutions.

Workday Integration





Experience delivering Workday integrations or working with Workday integration technologies such as EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services, RaaS and Workday APIs.

APIs and data

Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML and webhooks.

Authentication

Practical understanding of OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT and Basic Authentication.

Databases

Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Cloud and DevOps

Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP; version control and CI/CD experience is desirable.

Professional skills

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field. Relevant Workato, Workday or enterprise integration certifications are desirable.
