Information Governance Platform & AI Integration Specialist in India work location: Remote (India)

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Administration

Configure and maintain information governance platform capabilities, including metadata scans, connectors, workflows, user access, roles, permissions, and platform settings.

Implement and troubleshoot integration with enterprise cloud data sources, BI tools, and data engineering technologies, with vendors and internal technology teams as needed.

Configure metadata ingestion, synchronization, technical metadata discovery, and available lineage capabilities; extend integrations using APIs, SDKs, scripts, or other technologies when needed.

Evaluate platform capabilities, limitations, and identify opportunities to improve automation, usability, and reliability.

AI Integration & Enablement

Design, implement, and test integrations between the governance platform and enterprise-approved AI interfaces, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other conversational AI applications.

Use appropriate technologies, including MCP, APIs, SDKs, MCP, and supported connector, to enable AI applications to retrieve and use governed metadata.

Identify and address technical gaps affecting metadata availability, integration reliability, and downstream use cases.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration

Engage business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into written functional requirements, technical solutions, and acceptance criteria.

Assess workflows and user experiences to identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual activities, and improve access to trusted metadata.

Collaborate across Informatica Governance, Architecture, Engineering, Security, AI, and business teams to evaluate solution options, resolve dependencies,



and align delivery with business needs.

Technical Documentation and Transition

Document solution designs, configurations, dependencies, and operating requirements and procedures.

Establish appropriate testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and support practices for delivered solutions.

Transfer knowledge to designated platform owners or support resources to enable ongoing operations.

Recommend improvements that reduce manual administration, recurring maintenance, and dependence on specialized technical resources.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of relevant experience in data platform administration, systems integration, software integration engineering, metadata management, or related technical disciplines.

3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting integrations using MCP, APIs, SDKs, connectors, or comparable technologies.

Demonstrated hands-on experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities with enterprise applications, APIs, or data/metadata services.

Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, access management, and security controls.

Working knowledge of data governance and metadata management concepts.

Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and solve technical problems, assess solution options, and deliver maintainable solutions with limited oversight.

Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to business audiences.

Preferred: Hands-on experience with enterprise data catalogs, such as Informatica CDGC, Alation, Snowflake Horizon, or comparable technologies.
