Implementation Consultant PSR Optimization

Implementation & Client Delivery | 7–8 years of experience

Role purpose: Lead the implementation of payment optimization recommendations at issuer clients, converting agreed actions into measurable improvements across authentication, authorization, tokenization and customer experience journeys.

What you will do

- Own the end-to-end implementation of payment success initiatives, from mobilization and detailed planning through delivery, testing, launch and benefit tracking.
- Coordinate client business, product, technology, risk, fraud, operations, servicing, processor and vendor teams to execute agreed recommendations and resolve delivery dependencies.
- Establish implementation governance, track milestones and risks, remove roadblocks, and provide clear progress updates to senior client and internal stakeholders.
- Define success measures, monitor post-implementation outcomes, and support corrective actions or further optimization where required.

Skills and experience
- Payment’s domain expertise: Strong understanding of issuer card payments and the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including token provisioning, 3DS authentication, authorization, fraud and risk controls, decline handling, digital channels and customer servicing.
- Implementation leadership: Demonstrated experience converting recommendations or business requirements into practical workplans, functional requirements, technology changes, operating procedures, test plans, launch readiness activities and measurable outcomes.
- Cross-functional delivery: Experience working with issuer processing platforms,



ACS providers, token service providers, fraud systems, card operations, digital banking teams, contact centres and external technology partners.
- Program management: Ability to manage multiple workstreams, milestones, interdependencies, governance forums, decision points and executive reporting while maintaining ownership of delivery outcomes.
- Data and performance management: Ability to use transaction-level data and operational metrics to establish baselines, define KPIs, validate implementation impact and identify performance gaps. Advanced Excel capability is expected; working knowledge of Tableau is preferred.
- Client and stakeholder management: Strong client-facing presence with the ability to lead working sessions, challenge constructively, align stakeholders, secure decisions and communicate complex delivery issues in explicit business language.
- Communication and story lining: Ability to prepare concise executive updates, implementation trackers, decision papers and steering committee materials using structured, outcome-focused communication.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical judgement and practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose execution blockers, evaluate trade-offs and drive timely resolution across business and technology teams.

Qualifications
- 7–8 years of relevant experience in cards, payments, digital banking, fintech, payment processing, technology implementation or consulting delivery.
- Proven experience delivering complex client-side implementation programs within a regulated banking or payments environment.
