Job Purpose:

The Hostel Warden is responsible for the effective management and supervision of the hostel, ensuring the safety, discipline, and well-being of all boarding students. The role involves creating a homely workplace, fostering cultural sensitivity, and supporting the holistic development of students in line with the values of the international school.

Key Responsibilities

Student Care & Supervision

- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all hostel residents at all times.
- Maintain discipline, order, and decorum in the hostel as per school policies.
- Monitor students daily routines (wake-up, hygiene, meals, study hours, lights out).
- Provide emotional support and counseling to students when needed.

Administration & Operations

- Oversee hostel facilities, cleanliness, and maintenance of rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.




- Maintain student attendance records, leave permissions, and movement registers.
- Coordinate with kitchen and housekeeping staff for meals and upkeep of the hostel.
- Implement hostel rules, policies, and safety protocols consistently.

Pastoral & Academic Support

- Support students in balancing academics, extracurriculars, and personal life.
- Encourage participation in hostel/community activities that build life skills.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student welfare.
- Act as a mentor and role model, respecting cultural diversity and inclusivity.

Safety & Security

- Conduct regular roll calls, night checks, and emergency drills.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and security standards.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or behavioral concerns immediately to school authorities.
