We're Hiring Manager Technical Learning & Development

Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. (HPPL) is looking for a dynamic, technically sound and execution-oriented Technical Learning & Development professional to drive technical capability building and skill development initiatives across the organisation.

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on and self-driven go-getter who can independently design, develop and implement technical training programs, collaborate effectively with technical experts and functional leaders, and deliver measurable learning outcomes.

Experience: 8–15 years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences, preferably with an MBA/PGDM in HR or Operations

Industry Preference: Chemical Manufacturing, Specialty Chemicals, Refining, Metallurgy or other Process Manufacturing Industries

Key Responsibilities

Training Needs Identification & Planning

- Lead the Annual Training Needs Identification (TNI) exercise in collaboration with functional heads and internal stakeholders.
- Identify technical competency gaps, develop structured learning interventions and drive implementation of the annual technical training calendar.

Technical Training Design & Implementation

- Design and develop technical training modules, learning content, assessments, practical exercises and competency-based programs.
- Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop relevant, engaging and technically accurate training content.
- Independently drive training execution through classroom,



shop-floor and practical learning interventions.

Training Effectiveness & Assessment

- Design and implement structured pre-training and post-training assessments to evaluate knowledge enhancement and learning outcomes.
- Measure training effectiveness, analyse assessment results and identify opportunities for improving technical competencies.
- Continuously refine training content, methodology and delivery based on internal customer feedback and business requirements.

Trainer Development & Evaluation

- Identify and develop internal technical trainers and SMEs.
- Design, conduct and facilitate Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs to strengthen internal training capabilities.
- Establish trainer evaluation mechanisms to assess content quality, delivery effectiveness and participant engagement.

Training MIS & Analytics

- Prepare and publish monthly Training MIS covering planned versus actual programs, training hours, participation, assessment results and effectiveness.
- Analyse training data, monitor key learning metrics and drive timely corrective actions.

Technical Competency Development

- Support development of role-based technical competency matrices,



skill development programs and structured technical learning pathways.
- Facilitate skill enhancement initiatives for workmen, supervisors, engineers and technical trainees.

L&D; Audits & Compliance

- Facilitate L&D-related; internal, external, certification and customer audits, including requirements under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, Ecovadis and customer audits.
- Ensure audit-ready training documentation, competency records, assessment reports and timely closure of audit observations.

What We're Looking For
- 8–15 years of relevant experience, preferably combining a robust chemical/process manufacturing background with technical training and capability development.
- Proven ability to independently manage the end-to-end technical training lifecycle, from TNI and content development to execution and effectiveness evaluation.
- Strong experience in instructional design, competency assessment, training analytics and Train-the-Trainer programs.
- Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with technical SMEs, functional heads and shop-floor employees.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Training MIS and LMS/HRMS platforms.
- Strong analytical thinking, presentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- A quick learner, proactive self-starter and result-oriented professional with strong ownership, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
