We're Hiring | Manager HR Operations & Industrial Relations

Hindustan Platinum Pvt. Ltd. (HPPL) is looking for an experienced, dynamic and hands-on HR Operations & Industrial Relations professional to manage HR operations and drive effective industrial relations in a manufacturing plant workplace.

We are seeking a proactive self-starter and go-getter with strong execution capabilities, sound knowledge of Indian labour laws and proven experience in managing unions, employee relations and statutory compliance.

Experience: 10–15 years

Qualification: Graduation with a Full-Time MBA/PGDM in HR / Industrial Relations (Mandatory)

Industry Preference: Chemical, Refining, Metallurgy, Engineering or Process Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Payroll

- Manage end-to-end plant HR operations, including payroll, time office, attendance, employee lifecycle processes, HRMS and employee benefits.
- Strengthen HR processes, operational controls, governance and service delivery standards.

Industrial Relations & Union Management

- Independently manage union relationships, employee grievances, disciplinary matters and day-to-day industrial relations.
- Participate in union negotiations, wage settlements and collective bargaining discussions while ensuring industrial harmony.
- Proactively identify and resolve employee relations concerns to support uninterrupted plant operations.

Statutory Compliance & Audits

- Ensure adherence to applicable labour laws, factory-related regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
- Facilitate statutory inspections, internal/external audits, certification audits and customer compliance audits.
- Liaise with labour authorities, government departments and other external stakeholders.





Workforce & Contract Labour Management

- Oversee workforce administration, absenteeism, overtime, discipline and contract labour compliance.
- Ensure contractor adherence to statutory obligations and established organisational processes.

HR Governance & Stakeholder Management

- Drive HR MIS, workforce analytics, process improvements and timely resolution of operational issues.
- Partner closely with plant leadership, functional heads, employees and union representatives to provide practical and effective HR solutions.

What We're Looking For?

- 10–15 years of relevant HR Operations & IR experience, preferably in a unionised manufacturing plant.
- Strong hands-on exposure to union management, wage negotiations, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures and domestic enquiries.
- Robust understanding of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, payroll and contract labour management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Strong process orientation, analytical ability and proficiency in HRMS and HR MIS.
- A self-driven, execution-focused professional with maturity, resilience, sound judgement and the ability to independently manage complex plant HR situations.

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable engaging with workmen and union representatives on the shop floor, managing sensitive IR matters, interacting with statutory authorities and partnering with business leaders.
