Role & responsibilities To lead and manage the complete Design & Engineering function for industrial pumps, ensuring product innovation, engineering excellence, cost optimization, product reliability, and compliance with international standards. The role involves developing new pump designs, improving existing products, managing engineering teams, and supporting manufacturing, quality, sales, and project functions.

Design & Engineering Leadership

1. Lead the overall Design & Engineering department for industrial pumps.
2. Drive new product development (NPD) and product engineering initiatives.
3. Review and approve pump designs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
4. Ensure designs meet customer requirements, performance parameters, and applicable international standards.
5. Develop standardization and modularization of pump designs.
6. Drive continuous improvement in product performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Provide technical leadership in the design and development of:
- Centrifugal Pumps
- End Suction Pumps
- Split Case Pumps
- Multistage Pumps
- Vertical Turbine Pumps
- Process Pumps

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Mandatory.
- M.E.



/ M.Tech in Design / Thermal / Fluid Mechanics Preferred.
- Additional certification in Hydraulic Design / Pump Engineering will be an advantage.
- 20 to 30 years of experience in pump design and engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership / managerial position.
- Solid experience in industrial pump manufacturing.
- Experience working with an MNC or reputed pump manufacturing organization preferred.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Hydraulic design and pump performance engineering.
- Mechanical design and component engineering.
- CAD tools: SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / Inventor.
- CAE tools: ANSYS / CFD / FEA.
- Pump performance testing and validation.
- GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of international pump standards.
- Product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering change management.
