Guidewire BillingCenter Developer – Contract / Full-Time

Location: Pune (Hinjewadi), Mumbai (Mahape), Bengaluru (Whitefield), Hyderabad, Chennai

Compensation:

Contract Role: Up to ₹1,00,000 per month

FTE Role: Up to ₹9.6 LPA

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Guidewire Billing Center Developer to design, develop, configure, customize, and implement billing solutions for insurance clients. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter, insurance billing processes, Gosu development, integrations, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement billing solutions using Guidewire BillingCenter.

Configure and customize BillingCenter modules based on client and insurance-product requirements.

Develop and enhance functionality using Gosu, Guidewire APIs, plugins, and configuration frameworks.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, functional consultants, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

Perform impact analysis, technical design, code development, unit testing, code reviews, and deployment support.

Build and maintain integrations between BillingCenter and external systems, such as payment gateways, ERP/finance systems, document systems, and core insurance platforms.

Troubleshoot billing-process issues, system defects, performance concerns,



and production incidents.

Ensure solutions comply with Guidewire best practices, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client policies.

Participate in testing, UAT support, release activities, and post-production support.

Stay updated with new Guidewire BillingCenter features, upgrades, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

5-7 years of overall IT experience, with strong hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter.

Minimum 1 year of relevant Guidewire BillingCenter experience is required for consideration.

Strong expertise in Gosu programming, Guidewire configuration, data model, UI configuration, and integrations.

Experience with insurance billing concepts such as invoicing, payments, commissions, fees, delinquencies, write-offs, and payment plans.

Experience in REST/SOAP API integrations, messaging, batch processes, and external-system integrations.

Familiarity with Guidewire InsuranceSuite modules such as PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter is an advantage.

Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum delivery, debugging, testing, and deployment processes.

Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work from the client office location.

Preferred Qualifications

Guidewire certification in BillingCenter or related InsuranceSuite modules.

Experience in P&C; insurance implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
