1. Operate surface grinding machines as per approved production plans and engineering drawings.

2. Read and understand component drawings, dimensions, tolerances and surface finish requirements.

3. Perform job loading, positioning, alignment and clamping on the magnetic chuck or suitable fixtures.

4. Select appropriate grinding wheels based on material and machining requirements.

5. Perform surface grinding operations to achieve the required flatness, parallelism and thickness.

6. Ensure specified dimensional accuracy and surface roughness (Ra) as per drawing.

7. Perform wheel dressing and truing whenever required.

8. Check component dimensions using micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators and height gauges.

9. Monitor grinding wheel condition, coolant flow and grinding parameters.

10. Obtain first-piece inspection approval from the Quality Department.

11. Prevent grinding burns, cracks, scratches and dimensional rejection.

12. Maintain production targets and minimize rejection and rework.

13. Report machine abnormalities and grinding wheel damage immediately.

14. Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.

15. Follow machine safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
