Hiring an Equity Research Analyst from the sell-side domestic market to support the research analyst of a top global investment bank. Ideal candidates have solid skills in company and industry modelling, sector analysis, earnings previews and reviews, and writing research publications, with the ability to generate differentiated investment ideas.

Location: Mumbai

Your Future Employer:

A leading research and analytics services provider in the financial services industry. It supports the equity research teams of top global investment banks with company, sector and investment research.

Responsibilities:

1. Build and update company and industry models, and create and maintain databases using data from different sources.
2. Work on regular research publications such as earnings previews, reviews, event updates and flash notes, and write analytical articles and research reports with minimal supervision.
3. Carry out sector analysis, track the latest developments in the companies and sector under coverage, and contribute investment themes and ideas for thematic publications.
4. Develop and publish own industry forecasts (subject to senior review) and prepare presentations and slide decks summarising investment research.
5. Support the global analyst with data aggregation, ad-hoc requests and responses to client inquiries on designated coverage areas.

Requirements:

1. Experience in equity research on the sell side, with a background in the domestic (Indian) market.
2. Strong skills in financial modelling and building company and industry models.
3. Proven ability to write clear research reports, earnings notes and thematic publications.
4. Sound analytical skills for sector analysis,



data aggregation and developing investment theses and ideas.
5. Relevant finance qualification such as CA, CFA or MBA (Finance), with the ability to work independently and handle client queries.
