About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Equestrian Manager to oversee the overall management of its horses, stable operations and racing activities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in horse racing, equestrian operations and thoroughbred horse management. Candidates with experience as a professional horse trainer, former jockey or racing professional with sound knowledge of horse management and racing operations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Horse & Stable Management

- Oversee the day-to-day management, care, feeding and conditioning of horses.
- Monitor horse health, fitness, behaviour and overall well-being.
- Coordinate with veterinarians, farriers, trainers and stable staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance, hygiene and discipline within the stable.
- Maintain individual horse records, medical histories and performance reports.

2. Racing Operations

- Coordinate race entries, nominations, declarations and participation schedules.
- Monitor racing calendars, race results and upcoming racing opportunities.
- Coordinate with jockeys, trainers, race clubs and racing authorities.
- Evaluate horse performance and fitness before races.
- Assist in planning racing strategies and horse participation.

3. Horse Training & Performance

- Monitor training routines, workouts and conditioning schedules.
- Assess horse performance, stamina and racing potential.
- Work closely with trainers and jockeys to improve performance.
- Maintain training records and analyse race performance.
- Identify horses requiring specialised training or attention.

4. Accounts & Administrative Management

- Maintain horse-wise expenditure and racing accounts.
- Track expenses related to feed, veterinary care, transportation, training and race participation.
- Maintain records of prize money,



racing fees and other horse-related transactions.
- Prepare regular operational and expense reports for management.
- Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective stable operations.

5. Team & Operational Coordination

- Supervise stable employees, grooms and other support staff.
- Ensure smooth coordination between trainers, jockeys, veterinarians and management.
- Oversee transportation and logistics for horses attending races.
- Ensure compliance with applicable racing club regulations and animal welfare standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in horse racing, equestrian management or thoroughbred horse operations.
- Candidates who are former jockeys, professional trainers or experienced racing professionals are strongly preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of thoroughbred horses, racing, training and stable management.
- Understanding of racing accounts, horse-wise expenses and operational budgeting.
- Knowledge of race entries, racing regulations and race club procedures.
- Good management, communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently manage horse-related operations.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Former professional jockey or experienced horse trainer.
- Experience working with racing stables, race clubs or horse owners.
- Strong understanding of horse fitness, bloodlines, performance and racing potential.
- Practical knowledge of racing administration and financial records.
- Willingness to travel for race meetings and horse-related activities.

Pay: ₹694,000.00 - ₹2,240,000.00 per year
