Deepwoods Green is a micro-startup working with businesses, particularly MSMEs, to improve their environmental performance and sustainability practices.

We support companies with greenhouse gas emissions reporting, environmental assessments, sustainability frameworks and certifications, including the CII GreenCo Rating System.

We are a small team that believes in learning by doing, taking responsibility and growing together. As a group, we have advised 150+ organisations, including 25+ on environmental and sustainability matters.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer who is curious about how industries operate, enjoys research and wants to build a career in sustainability.

Your primary responsibility will be to understand the CII GreenCo Rating System thoroughly and support manufacturing clients throughout their rating journey.

You will work directly with our team and clients, collect and analyse environmental data, prepare documentation, perform calculations and contribute towards achieving GreenCo ratings.

This is a hands-on role in a micro-startup environment. You should be comfortable learning independently, handling different responsibilities and contributing wherever required.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Research & Learning: Independently study the CII GreenCo Rating System, environmental standards, industry practices and relevant sustainability topics.
- Client Coordination: Communicate with manufacturing clients, understand their operations, collect information and follow up on project requirements.
- Environmental Data Analysis: Analyse energy, water, waste, materials, emissions and other environmental data. Perform calculations and identify improvement opportunities.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documents, Excel calculations, assessment reports,



presentations and supporting evidence for GreenCo ratings.
- Industry Research & Benchmarking: Conduct online research, study industry best practices, compare peer performance and identify practical sustainability solutions.
- Factory Visits: Visit client facilities, interact with operational teams and understand environmental management practices on the shop floor.
- Project Coordination: Track project progress, maintain records, coordinate deliverables and support clients throughout the GreenCo assessment process.
- Team Contribution: Support other sustainability assignments and day-to-day organisational activities as required in a small startup environment.

Who Can Apply?

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.

We welcome fresh graduates and candidates with early professional experience.
