Job Title: Engineer – Engine Testing

Location: Chennai OR Hosur, Tamil Nadu (Work from office)

Experience: 3–6 years

Must have without which your profile will not be considered

- Hands-on engine testing on a testbed or dynamometer (eddy current or transient)
- Test-cell instrumentation and data acquisition
- Diesel or CV engine test experience at an OEM, engine maker or test agency
- BE/BTech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
- Notice period of 90 days or less

You will be part of the Engine R&D; team at Hosur. The team plans and runs engine tests that feed product development and emission compliance.

Responsibilities

- Plan and run performance, durability, emission and combustion tests on engine testbeds
- Set up instrumentation (sensors, thermocouples,



pressure transducers) and DAQ for each test
- Acquire, validate and analyse test data, then publish test reports
- Investigate test failures and abnormal results, and support root-cause analysis with design and calibration teams
- Work with calibration engineers on ECU/CAN data during testing
- Follow test-cell safety norms and keep test documentation audit-ready

- AVL PUMA, Horiba, ETAS INCA
- Combustion analysis, BS-VI emission testing, NVH testing
- Experience at Cummins, Tata Motors, VECV, Daimler, Mahindra, Kirloskar, Greaves, Force Motors, TAFE, Simpson, Bosch, AVL or FEV
