About the Role

We are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who can transform campaign briefs and creative ideas into well-designed, technically sound email communications.

This role is primarily focused on creating and developing professional email templates using HTML/CSS and AI-assisted tools. You will also support campaign execution, event-related communications, and email performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate combines technical email development skills with an eye for design, attention to detail, and an interest in using AI to improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Email Production & Creative Development

- Develop engaging email communications, including newsletters, event invitations, promotional campaigns, announcements, and follow-up emails.
- Build, edit, and customize HTML/CSS email templates to meet campaign requirements.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT to assist with email copywriting, HTML generation, code refinement, and troubleshooting.
- Use Codex or similar AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
- Translate creative briefs and reference designs into professional, visually appealing email layouts.
- Maintain consistent branding across typography, colours, images, spacing, and calls to action.
- Ensure email templates are responsive and optimized for desktop and mobile devices.
- Identify and resolve formatting, coding, and rendering issues before campaigns are deployed.

2. Campaign Setup & Execution

- Build, schedule, and launch email campaigns through Mailchimp or similar platforms.
- Support newsletters, promotional campaigns, event invitations, automated reminders, and follow-up sequences.
- Assist with contact list organization, audience segmentation, and campaign scheduling.
- Verify recipient lists, email content, images, and links before sending.
- Ensure campaigns are executed accurately and within established timelines.

3. Event Marketing Communications





- Assist in preparing email communications for upcoming events and activities.
- Support the setup of event registration forms and landing pages.
- Coordinate registration confirmations, reminders, schedule updates, and post-event communications.
- Maintain accurate attendee records and support feedback collection after events.
- Ensure attendees receive timely and consistent information throughout the event lifecycle.

4. Email Testing & Performance Improvement

- Conduct quality checks to ensure emails display correctly across devices and major email clients.
- Check links, images, formatting, content accuracy, and responsiveness before deployment.
- Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and event registration performance.
- Assist in preparing campaign reports and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Apply learnings from previous campaigns to enhance future email design and engagement.
- Review AI-generated content and code to ensure the final output meets quality and brand standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in email marketing, email production, email development, or digital marketing communications.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS, especially for email template development.
- Practical experience building and customizing email templates.
- Familiarity with responsive email design and email-client compatibility.
- Experience using ChatGPT or similar AI tools for content creation, coding assistance, or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Codex is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Mailchimp or a comparable email marketing platform.
- Understanding of email design principles, layout, typography, branding, and calls to action.
- Solid written English and proofreading skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, incorporate feedback, and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
