We are looking for a technically competent Draftsman to support the Design team engaged in the development and engineering of Line Pumps and Boom Pumps.

The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate engineering drawings, component details, assemblies and related design documentation in accordance with manufacturing and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

 Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models of components and assemblies used in Line Pumps and Boom Pumps.

 Develop part drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings based on inputs from Design Engineers.

 Prepare and update General Arrangement (GA) drawings and sub-assembly drawings.

 Create detailed drawings with appropriate:

o Dimensions o Tolerances o Fits o Surface finish requirements o Welding details o Material specifications

 Prepare drawings for fabricated, machined and sheet-metal components.

 Support preparation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOMs).

 Incorporate design modifications and engineering changes into existing drawings and models.

 Maintain proper revision control of drawings and engineering documentation.

 Review drawings for completeness, dimensional accuracy and manufacturability before release.

 Coordinate with Design Engineers to understand technical requirements and incorporate design inputs correctly.

 Interact with Production, Fabrication, Assembly and Quality teams to resolve drawing-related clarifications.

 Support Design Engineers in developing layouts and component arrangements for pump assemblies.

 Assist in standardisation and reuse of existing components and drawings wherever applicable.

 Maintain organised design records and drawing databases in accordance with departmental procedures.

 Support preparation of technical documentation required for production, sourcing,

assembly and service teams.

Candidate Profile





 Diploma / ITI / relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical

Drafting.

 Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting and detailing.

 Experience in engineering equipment, machinery, automotive, construction equipment, hydraulics or similar manufacturing industries preferred.

 Positive understanding of:

o Engineering drawing standards o Limits, fits and tolerances o GD&T; fundamentals o Welding symbols o Machining processes o Fabrication processes o Sheet-metal components

 Ability to interpret mechanical assemblies and understand component interfaces.

 Experience in preparing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.

 Familiarity with BOM preparation and engineering-change/revision processes.

CAD Skills

 Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software used for mechanical engineering drawings.

 Ability to independently prepare part and assembly drawings from engineering inputs.

 Experience with Solid Edge will be preferred if applicable to the PIPL Design environment.

 Basic understanding of drawing-data management / PLM or ERP systems will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
