Purpose

- Design, implement, and support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and cloud infrastructure to enable faster, secure, and reliable software delivery.

- Manage, administer, and optimize the Atlassian Jira platform to support Agile delivery, project management, DevOps, and enterprise collaboration initiatives.

- Ensure Jira environments are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational governance standards and business requirements.

- Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure, and security teams to streamline application deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.

- Drive automation, infrastructure standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across application delivery lifecycles.

- Ensure cloud environments, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure platforms are scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, release, and deployment processes.

- Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and related Atlassian applications.

- Implement and support DevOps practices that improve collaboration between development, QA, security, and operations teams.

- Configure and manage projects, workflows, issue types, screens, permission schemes, notification schemes, and security controls.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment activities using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

- Support cloud infrastructure deployments across AWS and Azure environments.





- Build and maintain automated deployment processes for applications, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.

- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability frameworks.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize build processes and release management.

- Ensure security best practices are integrated into the DevOps lifecycle.

- Manage and support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Assist in implementing Blue-Green and Canary deployments.

- Troubleshoot issues related to build pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployments.

- Develop automation scripts and operational documentation.

- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis.

- Stay current with emerging DevOps tools and cloud technologies.

Technical Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.

- Strong hands-on experience administering Jira Software and Jira Service Management.

- Experience configuring workflows, issue types, schemes, permissions, screens, custom fields,



automation rules, dashboards, and reports.

- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.

- Hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, Azure Repos, or GitHub.

- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.

- Strong understanding of IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, or OpenShift.

- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.

- Experience with Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Bash.

- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, SAST, vulnerability management, and secrets management.

- Understanding of Agile, SDLC, and DevOps principles.

- Exposure to Shift Left Testing, Blue-Green Deployment, Canary Releases, Chaos Engineering, and SRE concepts is desirable.

- Experience in Insurance, BFSI, or regulated industries preferred.
