Description a. Design and Development
Design and develop Globe/Angle/ Butterfly control valve body, end connections & trim parts (contour & anti-cavitation multistage) as per ASME B16.34 / IBR/ API standard up to
2500 # pressure class in line with ASME Y 14.5 & releasing for manufacture.
Design of multistep, multipath trim which can take pressure drop above 100 bar with noise control.
Plug (Contour profile), cage guide as per characteristics.
Calculate Trim exit flow area and velocity as per Valve CV.
Value engineering to reduce cost of valves.
Body thickness as per IBR/EN/ASME, bolting, Gaskets, pressure parts.
Face to face standard globe valves considering ASME/ISA standards.
Prepare and finalise 2D and 3D drawings for castings, housings, control valve assemblies and components.
Document and control revision of the drawings, retrieve old/void drawings and ensure latest revision is available for production.
FEA Analyzer Conducting Finite Element Analysis on Recent Development Products and reviewing them.
CFD Analyzer Conducting Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis and reviewing them.
Conduct trials, identify specific change and make final modifications in components for routine production.
Test and validate the produced valves.
Design customised valves for Low Temperature and cryogenic service.
Actuator selection & trip time.
Develop valve sizing and selection programme as per ISA standards.
b. Contract Review
Technical study/Review of customer specification & control valve data sheet (CVDS)
suggesting best material to suit pressure & temperature conditions (Cryogenic, NACE, Anti surge, Steam turbine bypass etc.) Interaction with sales department about deviation from specification.
Metallurgy tests and other special tests requirements and preparation of ITP.
Schematics for control valves as per trip time, Volume tank required.
c. BOM Preparation & checking
Select Material for trim, bolting, gasket, packing as per pressure & temperature, NACE,
boiler, oil gas & hydrocarbon, CCGT power plant application. Considering galling,
erosion.
Generate ERP code of recent parts & control valve.
Prepare master hook up diagram (schematics) of positioner, solenoids as per logic of control valve i.e., fail close/open/freeze, required trip time etc.
Catalogue, code and feed new material in ERP d. Process Engineering/Improvement
Coordinate with customers for understanding their technical requirements and facilitating the internal departments for developing and improving the technical documents.
Handle product development process involving planning, design execution, development,
product/ component costing, cross-functional coordination, testing and release for production phases.
Troubleshoot problems occurring in control valves
Implement new projects regarding Process Improvement.
Conduct product related trainings.
Prepare and co-ordinate ISO related activity in the department.
